Since our founding, Newz Group has paid over one million dollars in royalties to press associations and newspapers. Newz Group modernized traditional press clipping services and content monetization practices across the Midwest, developing one of the first royalty payment programs for resold clippings in the United States. Royalty payments are made to the state press association, the individual newspaper, or both to help support the press and community journalism.

How does content monetization work?
Newz Group’s digital press clipping service aggregates and monitors newspaper editions searching for keywords meeting our clients research needs. The process does not change the integrity of the page, and only articles meeting specific client criteria are clipped. Our trained staff reviews the extracted article to confirm it meets the research needs of the monitoring client. When a press clip is generated, a corresponding royalty is triggered. Then the article is extracted and included for delivery along with clippings from other newspapers.
Analytics are then performed on the press clippings from across the region – giving media monitoring clients meaningful understanding of their coverage and its impact.
